Lyft marked a major milestone this week when it launched service in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. "This development officially marks Lyft's footprint in all 50 states and the District, a feat that competitor Uber has not yet been able to tout," reports Kristin Musulin.

For local coverage of Lyft's arrival in Sioux Falls, see an article by Dan Haugen. According to Haugen, Lyft's entrance into the city is made possible to a tax and regulatory scheme made possible by two years of negotiations.

Lyft got on a role to complete the map of 50 states, after launching in Arkansas just a few weeks ago. Despite Lyft's accomplishment in covering the map of the United States, Uber still "reigns on an international scale," writes Musulin.
