Unified Zoning Code Update & Optional Land Use Code Update

Princeton is seeking the services of a qualified consultant team to provide professional planning, technical, and legal assistance to prepare a comprehensive rewrite of Princeton’s zoning regulations, including reviewing, harmonizing and modernizing the existing zoning regulations of the former Borough and Township of Princeton. The new regulations are expected to be user-friendly, consistent, and predictable, and will utilize images, diagrams and charts to emphasize text and visually explain regulations in a user-friendly manner. Firms located in New Jersey and throughout the country are encouraged to apply. 

As an optional add-on to this project, Princeton also seeks a proposal from a qualified consultant team to provide professional planning, technical, and legal assistance to prepare an optional rewrite and overhaul of Princeton’s Land Use Code in addition to the zoning regulations. Firms applying to include the optional Land Use Code rewrite MUST be closely familiar with New Jersey’s land use law and processes, including the Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL).
