An observant D.C. resident first noticed that a "secret" Capital Bikeshare station is no longer present on the White House grounds.
Benjamin Freed reports that a secret Capital Bikeshare station, located inside the security perimeter at the White House, as been removed by the Trump Administration.
Twitter user Gregory Matlesky first noticed the station (which was not-so-secretly-visible to the public from the street) was missing.

Freed reports confirmation from via District Department of Transportation spokesperson Terry Owens that the station was removed at the Trump Administration's request.
The Obama Administration installed the station in 2010 for use by White House staffers.Freed notes that the Trump Administration's decision to remove the station is unlikely to ingratiate the bike advocacy community to Trump, when there is already reason to worry about the effects of the upcoming budget cycle on federal funding for bike infrastructure and programming.
