A consortium of cities and regional organizations have created the new nonprofit known as the North Texas Innovation Alliance.

"The North Texas Innovation Alliance launched May 26 to bring together cities and regional organizations to collaborate and support a smart region strategy in North Texas," reports Reese Oxner.
Coronavirus isn't the only crisis on the table. The nonprofit alliance will also work collaboratively on transportation, severe weather events, infrastructure, urban design, and linking local businesses and educational institutions
"The founding cities and organizations are Addison, Allen, Arlington, Coppell, Corinth, Dallas, Dallas County, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Innovation Alliance, Dallas Regional Chamber, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Frisco, Garland, Irving, McKinney, McKinney Economic Development Corporation, North Texas Commission, North Texas Council of Governments, Plano, Richardson and the Texas Research Alliance," according to Oxner.
