There's no shortage of bold and bizarre ideas for how to make our future cities more livable, sustainable, and efficient. Whether many of these ideas are feasible is another story.
Ideas for making tomorrow's cities more livable, sustainable, and efficient range from the very basic to the very bizarre. Nicole Ferraro looks at the latter group, and calls out 12 future visions, some of which are too bold for their own good.
"These are ideas with good intentions: getting people from one place to another as quickly and efficiently as possible; solving the water crisis; finding new, off-the-ground places to develop; and more. But are any of these feasible? How futuristic will our cities be, really?" asks Ferraro.
Some of the ideas named in this report include the "Venus Project," floating cities, "Lotus Flower" cities in the sky, and more.
