Over half the surface of the Fall Creek Bridge is devoted to walking and biking paths.

A new Indianapolis bridge devotes over half of its area to nonvehicular use, marking a milestone in road safety and connectivity, according to an article by Alex Almanza for WTHR.
“The new structure is a key part of the 16 Tech Innovation District and emphasizes pedestrian and cyclist safety,” Almanza explains. The bridge features two vehicular lanes and wide bike and pedestrian paths on both sides.
The Fall Creek Bridge complements the city’s Vision Zero goal. “As similar infrastructure projects take shape around the city, community leaders and residents alike are hopeful that the Fall Creek bridge sets the tone for a safer, more connected Indianapolis.”
