Sound Transit recently released its 2018 Service Implementation Plan [pdf]. In addition to plans for light rail expansion and bus route realignment, the SIP includes data on route and corridor performance throughout the Sound Transit system.

An article by Liz Giordano pulls some of the highlights from the performance data, focusing on ST Express Bus Routes, Central Link, Tacoma Link, and Sounder Commuter Rail. With regard to the ST Express Bus Routes, the performance summary is calculated based on boardings per revenue hour, boardings per trip, subsidy per boarding, and passenger miles per platform vehicle mile. That collection of data places Route 550, Bellevue to Seattle, as the agency’s top-ranked bus route. Bringing up the rear is route 560, from Westwood Village to Bellevue.

As Planetizen has noted, Seattle has become one of the top transit ridership performers in the country in recent years.
