Friday Funny: Atlantans Rely on Humor to Deal With Series of Highway Mishaps

Fiza Pirani scoured social media for some of the funniest reactions to Atlantas ongoing, deepening problem with highway failures.

Here is Pirani's summary(with links) of the entire series of calamities that has befallen Atlanta roads in recent weeks.

The latest disaster? A sinkhole shut down a popular street in Midtown Wednesday afternoon. 

It started with the I-85 bridge collapse and fatal U.S. 78 road-rage shooting on the eve of April 1, followed by the Braves foam tomahawks spill on I-75 last week.

On Monday, April 17, Atlantans woke up to a toxic chemical spill on the downtown connector and later, a buckled section of I-20 that was described by a paramedic as a bump in the road that “just started getting higher and higher.”

Bus instead of crying about it, Atlantans on social media have made lemonade out of lemons, such as with this post by Twitter user @InTheHow:
