In a sign of things to come in all built environment professions, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) recently released a virtual reality experience.
A post on the ASLA website announces the availability of a virtual reality experience available to the public. The new video, which is also available on YouTube, for those of use who aren't yet VR-enabled, tours the site of the Toronto Underpass Park, winner of the ASLA 2016 Professional Award of Excellence. PFS Studio with The Planning Partnership designed the park for Waterfront Toronto.
I got a chance to check out the VR version at the ASLA National Conference in New Orleans in October, and I can verify that the park is great, as it the potential of VR to transform the practice. To tease the VR-enabled future, and to feature the Toronto Underpass Park, here's the YouTube version of the VR experience.
