The California State Legislature this week approved funding for $1 million to study a light rail connection between Pasadena and the Hollywood Burbank Airport.
The funding will enable a study of the feasibility of an extension of the Gold Line light rail line, operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro).

According to Frazier, adding an extension to the Hollywood Burbank Airport would negatively affect service on the Gold Line and duplicate planning work already devoted to a bus rapid transit connection covering most of the same ground.
