Seattle's Georgetown-to-South Park Trail is fully funded through construction, thanks to the city's 2021 budget, reports Doug Trumm.

"The Georgetown-to-South Park Trail has long been a priority for Duwamish Valley advocates and bike and pedestrian activists citywide. The trail fills a big hole in the city’s network of safe biking and pedestrian facilities," according to Trumm.

There are still some planning choices to be made, like a preferred route, but once complete, people on bikes and pedestrians will have another, key option for crossing the Duwamish River.
