John Norquist has been making bold moves to change the old industrial city of Milwaukee since his election as mayor in 1988. His 14-year tenure has been marked by the unpredictable and the unexpected - from his leadership on school choice to his removal of a major expressway in downtown. Just this week, Mayor Norquist announced that he will leave office four months early in January 2004 to serve as the president of the Congress for the New Urbanism. Host Carol Coletta talks to Milwaukee Mayor John Norquist about his experience in leading a city on the next Smart City radio show. Listen live on the Web Saturdays at 8 a.m. and Sundays at noon.
