Steven Sharp reports on new details for a plan to build a bus rapid transit corridor between Pasadena and North Hollywood in Los Angeles County.

The NoHo to Pasadena Transit Corridor, as it's currently called, would connect wit the red and orange lines in North Hollywood and the Gold Line in Pasadena. The project would add 16 to 18 miles of BRT to the regional transit system.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority expects to begin construction on the project in 2020, with completion projected for some time between 2022 and 2024. The price tag for the project is estimated between $227 million and $448 million. Sharp includes more details and project maps in the source article.

The NoHo to Pasadena Transit Corridor is not the only BRT route being planned by Metro for this corner of the city and region. The North San Fernando Valley BRT Line would also terminate at the North Hollywood Metro station.
