The technology for congestion pricing already exists. The leadership and vision required to implement congestion pricing is still a work in progress, according to a report.
A new report by the Eno Center for Transportation provides information and resources designed to accelerate the development of congestion pricing programs in the United Streets, while ensuring that congestion pricing also advances sustainability and equity goals.
"The report is intended for elected officials, civic leaders, advocates, and agency professionals in cities and metropolitan regions," according to the website that announces and shares the new report.
In distinguishing itself from the previous literature on the subject of congestion pricing, the report focuses on the remaining political, institutional, and communication hurdles to wide scale adoption of congestion pricing.
