Buried in an article about dockless bike and scooter sharing programs by Sasha Lekach is news of a new report from the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) about how to 'organize the chaos' of dockless bikeshare programs.

Lekach takes a broad look at the controversies and responses ot the growth of dockless bike and scooter share, providing examples from China, Melbourne, Dallas, Chicago, and Austin.

For more information specifically on the contents of the report from ITDP, see another article by Chris Teale. According to Teale, the report focuses on five elements—transit integration, data sharing, public space management, user protections, and dedicated staff—as the key to dockless bike and scooter share success.
