Lois Friedland explores the growing industry of street art-graffiti tours, starting in Valparaiso, Chile, where permissive public art laws draw artists from all over the world.

You won't have to travel to the Southern Hemisphere, however, so see world-class street art. "Viewing street art is fun right here in Dallas or in cities from Los Angeles and New York to Paris and Rome," writes Friedland. "You can explore on your own, but taking a tour with a knowledgeable guide adds a depth to the experience."

Friedland includes a lot of images—gathering sources on Instagram, YouTube, and more—to introduce the neighborhoods and tour companies that offer access to street art in Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and Rome.
