The county of El Paso and the state of Texas are partnering to install sidewalks in the city of Sparks. The project reveals a community enthusiastic about investments in pedestrian safety.
"The streets in Sparks are a little safer for residents, now that the county has finished installing sidewalks on some of its main roads," reports. Adria Iraheta.
The positive editorial spin on the story didn't go unnoticed to Stephen Miller, who writes for Streetsblog USA about how refreshing it is to see positive coverage for the sidewalk installation in this suburban area of El Paso County, Texas.
Iraheta adds additional details about the project, which partnered the county and the Texas Department of Transportation. So far sidewalks have been added on three streets in Sparks, with plans for more.
