Fans of @BobGunderson and @BicycleLobby will want to check out the Chicago winter version of the sardonic fake Twitter account, @606snowplow.

John Greenfield spreads the news about the latest, seasonally appropriate fake Twitter account providing relief to residents of Chicago frustrated by the lack of snow removal on the Bloomingdale Trail (popularly known as The 606).
First Greenfield notes that the city's Lakefront Trail has been frequently cleared of snow and "bone dry" even after large storms. Not so for the 606, however. "According to photos recently posted on the Friends of the Bloomingdale Trail Facebook page, the elevated path currently resembles some of the more scenic parts of Greenland."
That's where the new, wintery take on the satirical Twitter account known as @606snowplow comes in. Here are a few examples of the snowplow's tweets.
I have no idea what trail conditions are today because I haven't seen #the606 since last March. @ChicagoParks @The606Chicago

Greenfield even sits down with the plow for an exclusive interview, though the anonymity of the snowplow's Twitter genius persists. Among the messages shared by the 606 Snowplow:
I have nothing but respect for the actual workers who clear Chicago park paths in sub-zero weather — their jobs are physically demanding and difficult, and they single-handedly make public space usable for Chicagoans. That said, The 606 has not been plowed at all this winter, and social media is often the best vehicle for raising awareness and getting s— done.
