Howard Cohen helped reform planning practice in Toronto. Now, he is realizing his vision for the city, one development at a time.
In the 1970's, Howard Cohen served as chief neighborhood planner for the City of Toronto, introducing progressive policies that continue to shape the city even today. Now, as one of the two principals of condominium developer Context Development Inc., he is a major force in the reshaping of Toronto's skyline. Context is quickly becoming recognized as an industry leader for its bold and innovative designs in a city that is not particularly known for the quality of its residential architecture. Meanwhile, Cohen is enjoying the thrill of having his true passion - creating livable communities - being spun off into a profitable business.
