In addition to Uber announcing a major expansion to the Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas, other projects are popping up all over the East Side of Dallas, including an entirely new community of 40 homes.

"Builders have broken ground for a new housing community on the eastern edge of downtown Dallas," reports Steve Brown.
The new community is located on Commerce Street, "next door to the East Quarter redevelopment project and near the Farmers Market. Deep Ellum is just across the freeway."
After building 120 "high-density homes" in neighborhood of the Farmers Market, developer InTown Homes is adding 40 new homes with this latest project.
According to Brown, the InTown Homes building site on Commerce Street, "is just a few blocks from where a new office tower is going up to house thousands of Uber workers." Brown also notes other developments and redevelopments in the area that indicate a wave of investment focusing on the east side of Dallas.
