The Metropolitan Council regional planning organization is looking for better data on how people move around the Twin Cities.

The Metropolitan Council "wants better data on how households travel around their communities," according to an article by Frederick Melo, so it's asking for volunteers to voluntarily track their movements for a week.
The seven-day Travel Behavior Inventory (TBI) survey will be conducted in partnership with the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation in an effort to gather travel data from 7,500 residents in 19 counties.
"Most participants will be invited to download a Smart Phone app, rMove, which will track their location and ask why they made trips, who was with them and how they traveled," explains Melo.
