A Call for Congestion Pricing in Hawaii

A coalition of mayors in Hawaii recently asked the state to study congestion pricing as a tool for to improve air pollution and congestion while improving public bus transit.

An article by Elizabeth Stampe, who works for the Natural Resources Defense Council on the American Cities Climate Challenge, make the case for congestion ricing, modeled on the experience of London and Stockholm. Congestion pricing is working wonders in those cities, according to Stampe, so why couldn't achieve the same benefits in Honolulu.
