YouTube user Alan Fisher recently posted a light-hearted video that makes the case for Light Rail Transit (LRT) over Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). Stay until the end to just how obsessed Fisher is with trains and rail.
For follow-up and a potentially dissenting view, see a study published in Transport Reviews in 2017 that finds BRTs to be more comparable to LRT than previously believed. To be fair, Fisher's considerations mostly have to do with the technological aspects of these dueling transportation systems, while the Transport Reviews study approaches its evaluation from a development and service angle.
