The arts scene in South Downtown Atlanta has evolved considerably in recent years, as new galleries and performance spaces have opened in the area. The changes are bringing new energy to the area, and along with that, development interest. Newport Real Estate is proposing historic renovations and new tenants for existing buildings.
Still unknown is the impact nearby Mercedes-Benz Stadium will have on the area. The new home of the Atlanta Falcons hasn't demonstrably changed the area yet, but local business owners expect it is only a matter of time.
