The city of Chicago recently broke ground on the 312 RiverRun—an elevated pedestrian and bike path stretching two miles along the Chicago River between Belmont and Montrose.

As noted by a press release from the office of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the path will combine elements of the Chicago Riverwalk and the 606 bike path.

Patty Wetli reports on the 312 RiverRun, offering key details about the project as well as background on the planning process.
