St. Petersburg is one of those lucky few cities granted the benefits of a downtown waterfront setting in a warm climate. But what will that waterfront look like in the future?
Kameel Stanley and Charlie Frago report on the early public discussions regarding St. Petersburg's downtown waterfront master planning process, which will be under development over the next couple of months. The goal of the plan, according to the article, "is to keep [urbanites] happy while rethinking the space between 30th Avenue N and 22nd Avenue S."
AECOM has been hired to facilitate the plan, which will provide "overarching guidance," rather than coming down directly on either side of issues like a new pier or the future of the Al Lang Stadium site.
