The American Planning Association (APA) makes a clear statement that planners are especially suited to address matters of social equity.
The APA this week released the "Planning for Equity Policy Guide," the organization's first-ever guide on the subject of equity, identifying "recommendations for planners to advocate for policies that support equity in all aspects of planning at local, state, and federal levels."
The 29-page guide is available to download for free at the APA's website.
