The wait is over: the public is finally riding G Line commuter rail trains today in Denver, after years of delays.

The G Line runs 11 miles from Denver’s Union Station to Arvada and Wheat Ridge, according to an article by Meg Wingerter. "The commuter rail line, which was originally supposed to open in October 2016, was delayed because of difficulties with the timing of the crossing gates — a problem that also plagued the popular University of Colorado A-Line to Denver International Airport."

Earlier this month, officials from the Regional Transportation District (RTD) also announced that E-, F- and R-Line light rail extension of the Southeast Rail Line into Lone Tree will open on May 19.

Additional coverage of the G Line opening, and the delays and frustration that preceded the event, is available in additional, more recent coverage by John Aguilar and David Sachs.
