"Men undertake almost two-thirds of commutes lasting more than an hour," according to an article on the U.K. Office for National Statistics website to announce new analysis earlier this month.

"[The analysis] also reveals that women tend to undertake shorter journeys to work, accounting for more than half (55%) of commutes lasting 15 minutes or less," according to the post.

The article breaks down those findings into more detail and provides infographics to illustrate those details.

A post by Cassie Werber follows up on this analysis with an article to connect the "gender commuting gap" with the gender pay gap.
