A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to release funding for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program, a $5 billion program aimed at improving charging infrastructure.

A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to release funding for EV charging infrastructure that the administration froze in February, reports Jake Goldstein-Street in News From The States.
“U.S. District Court Judge Tana Lin’s preliminary injunction Tuesday reopens the funding in Washington and 13 other states that sued the administration,” Goldstein-Street adds. Washington state is slated to get $71 million from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program. “Overall, the plaintiff states were in line for about $1 billion to improve the nation’s fledgling electric vehicle charging network. The overall program involves about $5 billion.”
The ruling exempts Minnesota, Vermont, and the District of Columbia because they did not provide enough evidence of how the funding freeze impacted them.
