The forthcoming people move to LAX could have company nearby, with a proposal for a people mover to the new NFL stadium in Inglewood.

"Inglewood wants to build its own elevated transit system to ferry visitors to The Forum, the adjacent NFL stadium opening in 2020 and a potential Clippers arena," reports Jason Henry.
The people mover would connect to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Authority’s Crenshaw/LAX light-rail line, traveling 1.8 miles "along Market Street to Manchester Boulevard and then south on Prairie Avenue," according to Henry. Each of the destination venues would have a stop.
"The proposed people mover is estimated to cost more than $600 million to build and an additional $18 million to $20 million annually to operate, according to a report released by the city."
The city has identified an Enhanced Infrastructure Finance District as a potential funding mechanism for the project, which is has dubbed Envision Inglewood. The city will now commence a process of drafting an environmental impact report.
