"The City of Los Angeles will install new bicycle lanes on four major boulevards in South L.A., according to a case filing with the Department of City Planning," reports Steven Sharp.

The changes to the three corridors—Hoover Street, Broadway, Avalon Boulevard, and Main Street—will combine to makeover 14.4 miles of roadway. Each will add bike lanes in both directions while removing a vehicle lane in each direction as well.

Elijah Chiland also picked up the news of the bike lanes, noting that plans call for an additional road diet and bike lane on Sepulveda Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley.
