The Portland Bureau of Transportation recently put the finishing touches on 5.6 miles of improvements to the city's bike infrastructure.

"In the past few weeks, several key bike lanes across the city have been beefed up with an additional bike lane stripe," reports Jonathan Maus. "In total, 5.6 miles of bikeways have been upgraded."
Maus lists the newly buffered lanes and offers his assessment of the Portland Bureau of Transportation's work: "this shows that when given the opportunity to improve biking — even if it means narrowing existing standard lanes — PBOT is ready and willing to do it."
