Jonathan Maus reports on the latest developments for the expansion of Biketown—the newly named and sponsored bikeshare system in Portland, Oregon.

Maus got a first look at the new maps of proposed station locations and service area at a recent meeting of the city’s Bicycle Advisory Committee. " A draft station map released by the Bureau of Transportation today shows 300 candidate locations. Now the process begins for whittling them down to a final 100. PBOT also released an interactive tool that allows anyone to drop a pin on a map and suggest a location," according to Maus. The article includes a lot more analysis of the map as well as the planning process for the new bikeshare system.
