"The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) on Monday announced a series of improvements to transit service in the city," according to a post on the Progressive railroading website.

Reporting the news first announced in a press release from the TTC, Progressive Railroading explains that the "10-Minute-Or-Better" service network will run 52 streetcar and bus routes "every 10 minutes or better to ensure frequent and reliable service across Toronto…"

The TTC board already approved funding for the service changes in its 2015 operating budget. Toronto joins Houston and Columbus among other North American cities to focus on frequency in recent transit system investments.
