Culver City, California wants to build a $60-million town plaza to revitalize the downtown area. Movie screens were the draw. But then, AMC pulled out. So city officials are negotiating elsewhere. Opponents say that the project will bring too much traffic close to a nearby school. Advocates say that the project will restore life to the downtown.
