The 24-hour chain infamous for brawls and, to a lesser extent, waffles plans to install fast-chargers at many of its locations.

Another major Southern commercial institution is getting into the electric charging game: this time, Waffle House.
As Amber DaSilva reports in an article in Jalopnik, The company says it made a deal with BP’s PulseEV charging division to install 400-kw fast-chargers at Waffle House locations in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and potentially other states.
DaSilva pokes fun at the chain’s infamous reputation for fights, writing that “Surely these chargers will need to be incased in rebar or Lexan or something, if only to ensure they don't become collateral damage in the event of a conflagration.”
Ultimately, “Waffle House becoming an EV charging hotspot can only be a good thing. Charging infrastructure in the United States is a travesty, a patchwork of chargers that are too often slow, broken, or both, and adding more spots to charge up will help make EVs ever more practical. Add in Waffle House's famous 24-hour operation, and you have a spot where you can sit down and grab a quick bite while your car charges outside.”
