Established as an agricultural park in 1872, Exposition Park is home to some of the greatest cultural attractions and sports venues in Los Angeles, including the California Science Center, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, California African American Museum, and BMO Stadium. Located across the street from the University of Southern California (USC), Exposition Park is accessible via public transit, including various bus lines and the Metro E Line (Expo).

In this article, Andrea Ambriz discusses her role as Exposition Park's general manager and provides an update on the latest developments at the park. Specifically, she highlights the following:

  • Implementation of the Exposition Park Master Plan is underway.  This includes replacing surface parking lots with accessible green areas and community space that have long been desired and requested by area residents.
  • Collaboration with LA28, the organization tasked with coordinating the Olympic and Paralympic Games, is taking place to explore developments that are valuable and mutually beneficial for Exposition Park and the Games.
  • Other exciting developments include the Space Shuttle Endeavour being hoisted into launch position at the California Science Center, rapid progress on the construction of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, and the soon-to-open Natural History Museum (NHM) Commons
