The U.S. News World and Report, better known for ranking colleges and universities, recently released a ranking of state transportation systems.

The U.S. News World and Report's "Transportation Rankings" ranks each U.S. state as part of a larger effort to rank states for infrastructure, and the best states overall.
"Nevada ranks first in the nation for transportation. Utah places second in this subcategory, followed by Delaware, Minnesota and Oregon," according to the U.S. News and World Report website promoting the Transportation Rankings.
The Transportation Rankings are broken down into four metrics: commute time, road quality, bridge quality, and public transit usage.
The top five in Infrastructure Rankings read as follows: Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada, and North Dakota.
The top five Best States rankings read as follows: Washington, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Utah, and Vermont.
Writing for Streetsblog USA, Aaron Short focuses on the Transportation Rankings, detailing the ongoing plans and projects changing the realities of mobility in the states topping the list, with a number of links for catching up specifically on Nevada-related news.
