The historic Georgia city is lowering speed limits in an effort to reduce road fatalities.
Savannah, Georgia is reducing speed limits on close to 100 city streets as part of its Vision Zero efforts to eliminate traffic deaths.
According to Armahd Turner, the director of Healthy Savannah, 73 percent of the city’s streets don’t have sidewalks on either side, forcing pedestrians to walk in the street.
