From street sweeping and pothole filling to urban forestry and heat islands, the Bureau of Street Services (Streets LA), is the city agency charged with tackling the diverse challenges of maintaining the City of LA’s streets, curbs, and sidewalks. Almost one year into his appointment as general manager and director of Streets LA, Adel Hagekhalil discusses the Bureau’s recently released five-year Strategic Plan.
