Earlier in May, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett proposed three streetcar extensions around the city.

Jeramey Jannene has been tracking the progress of Mayor Barrett's proposal and providing analysis throughout the month. Most recently, the news is not positive for the quick adoption of Barrett's vision, after the Milwaukee Common Council put the proposal on hold.

Jannene's most recent coverage of the proposal charts possible ways forward for the proposals, noting that the extension ideas aren't totally dead, yet.
