It's no secret that autonomous vehicle companies that figure out a business model and carve out a market niche could be raking money in when the technology finally scales up to the global market.

According to an article by Dave Edwards and Helen Edwards, the user experience in autonomous vehicles might be the most lucrative business of all. "New research from UBS predicts that US autonomous-vehicle revenue will reach $2.3 trillion by 2030—and 70% of the estimated is expected to come from selling experiences to the former drivers," according to the article.

The article includes more findings from the report, including plenty more surprises about how the autonomous vehicle industry and market will finally shake out.
