Ariel Rosenstock updates San Francisco's progress in implementing the vision set forth by the 2009 San Francisco Bicycle Plan.
San Francisco's 2009 bike plan targets 20 percent bike ridership by 2020 (ridership is currently at 3 percent). Five years after adopting of the plan, "87 percent of the projects, or 52 out of the 60 projects in the 2009 plan, are complete," reports Rosenstock.
Rosenstock goes on to detail a laundry list of ongoing and planned efforts to improve bike facilities in the city, from bike share to bike lanes to raised bikeways.
