Inspired by a contest sponsored by the Brooklyn Brewery to see who can write the best song about or
inspired by the "sometimes sluggish" and oftentimes loathed G train, Jaffe has compiled "the ten best songs with lyrics about or inspired by subways-at-large."

Selections include Duke Ellington's "Take the 'A' Train", Tom Waits's "Downtown Train", and the Sesame Street cast's ensemble version of "The Subway!"
