A website for technology shoppers conducted a census of sorts and uncovered that different regions prefer different technologies. For example, New Yorkers love iPads but in Massachusetts they prefer Kindles.
Retrevo.com questioned 7,500 people for the survey. Some of the data was predictable, and could be explained with simple reasoning, such as the proliferation of iPads in New York (New Yorkers are fashion-conscious and ride a lot of public transportation, giving them time to read). But why does Maryland have 13% more HDTVs than the national average?
Retrevoalso notes that the San Francisco Bay Area streams a lot more digital content than the rest of the country.
