The State of California will fund the purchase and development of a state park near downtown Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is considered to be one of the most park-starved cities in the nation. California will spend $40 million to purchase and develop a park at the Cornfield near Chinatown in downtown L.A.Other projects on the site will require additional funding.
