The Grove at the Farmers Market is the first major new structure in a decade. There are several other new developments in the area. But the benefits come at a price. High-density development changes the quality of life and charm of the area, not to mention traffic. Other hot spots are Mid-City, South-Central L.A., Pasadena, Van Nuys and Burbank.
