"Pacific Theatres Realty, a unit of Los Angeles-based Pacific Theatres Corp., last month broke ground in Hollywood on an entertainment center with a 14-screen multiplex. Four blocks away, TrizecHahn Development Corp. is in the middle of building its own sprawling complex with a six-screen theater. The city is also negotiating with developers to put movie complexes on three sites around Los Angeles with at least 35 more screens."
