Bolsa Chica Wetlands Cost Rises

An additional $30 million may be needed to complete the restoration of the 12,000 acres of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands near Huntington Beach.

Funds for the restoration of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands come from monies paid by the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach in exchange for permission to expand harbor operations. It is anticipated that the funds will be obtained. Surfers and swimmers are opposed to the restoration.
